We all love spooky things. No matter how much we deny it, the thrill we get from hearing a scary story or witnessing something spooky is enough to get the adrenaline rushing in our entire body. That may be the reason why Halloween is our favourite time of the year… well, for most of us, anyway. Lucky for us, thrill-seeking fanatics, Halloween isn’t the only time to enjoy everything and anything spooky.
Fortunately, someone has created really creepy illustrations to keep us going all year round. Yan Blanco, a Brazilian 24-year-old freelance 3D artist who resides in São Paulo has successfully managed to spook us with his realistic AF illustrations. Just like us, he loves everything horror and scary and there’s nothing that is going to stop him from using that in his art.
These illustrations will definitely spook you! So, unless you’re a true fan of scary things and horror, you should really turn back around as this is going to be a hell of a ride.

One of the creepiest illustration I’ve come across of a pig.
You all may remember Bugs Bunny. He was one of our favourite childhood cartoon character who usually made us laugh out loud with his cheerful and silly personality and positive characteristics. Well, this may excite you to know that Yans last project was actually Bugs Bunny. He decided to make Bugs Bunny into something… sinister. His illustration is so realistic, it’s actually scary and creepy. Not to mention his other realistically creepy work on depressed bananas, Spongebob, Santa Claus, etc. Indeed, this isn’t for the faint-hearted. You may even feel differently after looking at creepy versions of your favourite childhood characters.
Noooo… my childhood has been ruined!
This is depressing…
His artwork includes characters from our favourite childhood movies or food items such as broccoli and carrots. I know what you’re thinking! So innovative, right? He transforms these normal things into angry, sad or very serious 3D characters that could really be the lead of literally any scary movie.
The talented artist started working on his illustration since he was really young. He knew he wanted to work on digital art since his adolescence. A major turning point for him was when he met Blender in 2014 at the College of Graphic Design. His focus shifted to 3D and he actively sought out places where he could learn 3D from. Be it the internet, watching various tutorials or even reading from many articles, anything he could find, he’d be eager to learn and explore the world of 3D. All his hard work finally paid off when he received a proposal from Techno Images to move to São Paulo and he started working with them.
That’s an interesting mugshot.
Did you notice the finger? Well, yeah…
This is disturbing… Imagine if Teletubbies looked like this.
Am I the only one who thinks this carrot resembles Tom Selleck?
Veggies are coming to get you now.
This Santa isn’t getting you anything gifts, for sure.
Seems like he didn’t sleep for days due to nightmares…
How cool would it be to smoke underwater? Jussayin.
Not sure if the sign means not to touch the plant or not to wave at the plant?
