If you have seen that classic flick of the 90s, directed by Bernard Rose, this is definitely going to blow off your mind completely! Tony Todd is the main character behind “Candyman”, he excelled in his role magnificently and left everyone wanting more of it. But guess what? Your prayers have been answered!
Yep. A new sequel to the movie is being released! Although, apparently it’s going to be a standalone movie, however, you guys are going to love it. The teaser of the movie in which there’s a painting of Tony Todd’s face & a teaser of his voice which says “tell, everyone”, had me sold already.
If you are wondering what’s it going to be about, here’s a synopsis of the movie below.
“In the present day, a decade after the last of the Cabrini towers were torn down, Anthony and his girlfriend move into a loft in the now gentrified Cabrini. A chance encounter with an old-timer exposes Anthony to the true story behind Candyman. Anxious to use these macabre details in his studio as fresh grist for paintings, he unknowingly opens a door to a complex past that unravels his own sanity and unleashes a terrifying wave of violence.”
