Orphan’s Prequel Is In Production And Will Tell Origin Story Of ‘Esther’

The film Orphan’s prequel is finally in the making!

When we talk about films full of dark twists, we just cannot ignore the all-time-classic ‘Orphan (2009)’. It is one of the most underrated films, but anyone who enjoys true thriller knows just how good of a psychological thriller this is!

The whole film revolves around the antagonist Esthera seemingly young girl with the personality of a much older woman. Esther was adopted by a loving couple who had recently lost their child.

The film picks up the pace when her mother starts to notice her unsual behaviour. Esther would act sweet with her father and strange with everybody else. As the suspicion grew, the mother began to investigate.

Soon, she found out that her seemingly 9-year old adopted girl was, in fact, a 33-year old woman who suffered from a rare condition that made her look younger.

So, now after more than a decade to the original film, the producers have finally decided to make a prequel of Orphan showcasing the history of Esther.

According to Deadline, the producers are collaborating with William Brent Bell (The Boy, Brahms: The Boy II, Devil Inside) for the production of the much awaited film.

The prequel will show her escaping from a russian facility and travelling back to America where she would pretend to be the missing daughter of a wealthy family.

While the full details of the prequel are still a bit vague, the fans, however, can’t seem to contain their excitment over this new development. As some of them are coming up with their own theories of the upcoming movie, the others are busy picturing the now 23-year old Isabelle Fuhrman—actress who played Esther.

Here’s how she looks now!

Though Isabelle’s return as Esther is highly unlikely, people are still talking about it. Now, with the collaboration of other producers for this prequel, the expectations are high.

5 Reasons Why Watching Horror Movies With Your SO Can Make Your Relationship Strong

1. Watching Horror Films reduces stress.

One of the major things that you experience while watching a horror film is the adrenaline rush. It’s a hormone that is released into our bloodstream in a fight-or-flight situation. Now, it’s true that we are not directly involved in the situation but because we are so engrossed into the film we’re watching our body releases adrenaline and sharpens our senses.

Our body decreases our ability to feel pain and increases the mental focus. In that instance, our mind is free from all thoughts and we feel completely unbothered. This helps us in reducing stress and tackling anxiety. While talking to Time, Margee Kerr a sociologist said: “The research my colleagues and I have done show a high-arousal negative stimuli improves mood significantly. The different neurotransmitters and hormones released during the experience could explain that.”

While this is a great way of handling stress for everyone, it is highly recommended for couples dealing with stress and anxiety as it quickly makes them forget about their worries and lightens up their mood.

2. It makes you feel vulnerable.

Feeling vulnerable around the person you love is always healthy for a relationship. While a lot us absolutely hate being vulnerable, sometimes it’s that one missing piece of the puzzle that’s seriously needed. Feeling vulnerable around your partner allows you to communicate with them better. You can open up to them more, talk about all your irrational fears, share your feelings with them and be more vocal about everything.

And watching a scary movie is always a good excuse to get to that point where you can sit with your partner and talk about the most strange things.

3. Watching scary movies can be romantic.

Oh, yes! Let’s not forget that scary movies are absolutely romantic. I mean, apart from all the actual benefits, it’s quite common among couples to just watch horror films for fun! Besides, sciences says that watching something scary can make people fall more in love. So, as the big guy pulls out his knife and chases his next victim, you can sit closer to your partner, and hold them a little more tightly. It really is a win-win situation if you think about it!

4. Horror films can be a good excuse to get close.

Okay, this just might be one of the BEST reasons to watch scary movies. You can easily get close to your girlfriend/boyfriend both physically and mentally. Imagine, you’re watching a serial killer chase an innocent couple in the movie. So, naturally you would picture yourself and your partner in that exact situation as you watch. And with all the humor, thriller and excitment that’s involved in the process, you would find yourself happier and closer with your loved one.

P.S There’s a very good chance that one of you would cling to the other every time you see something scary. So, that’s always a plus.*winks*

5. It helps to reveal your fears.

Watching scary movies is more than just snuggling, laughing and having a good time. It helps to reveal your inner fears. It gives you and your partner a way of understanding each other more. You get to see both the soft and the dark side of your partner. Also, watching a horror film on your first date is always a nice idea. It gives you both a lot to talk about and also gives an impression of what the other person is like.

So, what horror film are you watching with your date tonight? Leave a comment below and share your thoughts with us.

New “Silent Hill” And “Fatal Frame” Movies Coming Up According To Christopher Gans

Good news for horror fans!

Christopher Gans has confirmed the oncoming of two new movies, our favourite, Silent Hill and Fatal Frame!

The Silent Hill movie will be about a cult in a small American village. It’s sure to be creepy and send shivers down your spine. Christopher Gans announced the release of the movies on Allocine.

In collaboration with Victor Hadida.

Gans announced, “I have two horror film projects with Victor Hadida…” “I am working on the adaptation of the video game Project Zero (known as Fatal Frame in the States)… The film will take place in Japan. I especially don’t want to uproot the game from its Japanese haunted house setting. And we’re also working on a new Silent Hill.”

So the movie is going to be set up in Japan just like the game and the Silent Hill movie will resemble the 2006 version as the 2012 movie failed to impress fans.

Christopher Gans continued, “The project will always be anchored in this atmosphere of a small American town, ravaged by puritanism. I think it’s time to make a new one”

So horror fans and video game fans are thrilled to hear about this new project. There has been enough waiting for the live-action version of the video game series, waiting time is up now!

Are you excited? What do you think it is going to be like? Let us know in the comments below!

Mexico Gets A Scare When A Pacific Monster With No Eyes Washes Up On The Beach

If only our nightmares hadn’t just come true.

We all have nightmares from time to time and that is indeed very understandable. However, that’s what they are, Nightmares and we never think our twisted imagination could ever be turned into reality.

Well, The terrifying thing is that the world of nightmares and the Earth have collided many times producing what we can only call monsters. And no these aren’t some photoshopped creatures meant to cause chaos in the public. These are real sightings and real pictures.

While you might not get to see the loch-ness, monster today, the following sea monsters are nothing to scoff at either. However, the latest monster was spotted on a Mexican beach and let’s just say, we wish it wasn’t. It’s safe to say that it looks like a mix between a dolphin and an eel. Oh, and did I mention it has no eyes or fins? So scroll on below and take a look.

This definitely doesn’t look normal.

I honestly can’t even look at it anymore.

Have you seen the teeth on this thing?

Via Central European News

I’m just relieved that it’s not alive.

This is what a dolphin is supposed to look like.

However, many people have said that rather than it being a monster, it could be just a moray eel whose head is swelled up because it died.

This is what a moray eel looks like.

Now, Moray eels can come in many colors so maybe this one had a grayish color but I am not sure so you be the judge.

This is not the first sighting of a weird creature either.

Via Jam Press

I have no idea what to even call this.

This might be some kind of jellyfish from an alternate universe?

Via Pen News

I know that answer might seem absurd but there hasn’t been any research done on these new creatures so humanity does not yet know the truth behind these so-called monsters.

Last but not least, this ‘magnificent fish’.

Via Jam Press
